This Class Order makes minor variations to Class Order [CO 08/1] which provide that ASIC may exempt a class of persons from the provisions of Ch 5C and Pt 7.6 of the Act, respectively.

Enabling legislation


1.       The Australian Securities and Investments Commission makes this instrument under paragraphs 601QA(1)(a) and 911A(2)(l) of the Corporations Act 2001.


2.       This instrument is ASIC Class Order [CO 10/1257].



3.       This instrument commences on the later of:


(a)      the date it is registered under the Legislative Instruments Act 2003; and


(b)     the date of its gazettal.

4.       ASIC Class Order [CO 08/1] is varied as follows:


(a)     in sub-subparagraph 10(f)(i) omit “31 December 2010;”, substitute “30 June 2011;”;


(b)     in sub-subparagraph 10(f)(ii) omit “31 December 2011.”, substitute “30 June 2012.”.
