These Regulations amend the Bankruptcy Regulations 1996 to provide for the operation of the new trustee remuneration and infringement notice regimes introduced by the Bankruptcy Legislation Amendment Act 2010.

General Comments:
Transitional: (1) The amendments made by items 2, 7 and 8 of Schedule 1 apply to any bankruptcy for which the date of bankruptcy is on or after the day this regulation commences. (2) Despite the amendments made by item 2 of Schedule 1, Division 4 of Part 8 of the Bankruptcy Regulations 1996, as in force immediately before the commencement of this regulation, continues to apply to a bankruptcy if the date of bankruptcy is before the day this regulation commences. (3) Despite the amendments made by items 7 and 8 of Schedule 1, paragraph 10.04 (f) of the Bankruptcy Regulations 1996, as in force immediately before the commencement of this regulation, continues to apply to a bankruptcy if the date of bankruptcy is before the day this regulation commences.
