This instrument varies the Treatment Principles (Australian Participants in British Nuclear Tests) 2006 to give treatment providers 5 years instead of 6 months to lodge claims, remove the need for dental treatment for entitled persons under the Act to have the Repatriation Commission's prior approval (except where specified), authorise payments of fees for treatment providers, and update references in the Treatment Principles (Australian Participants in British Nuclear Tests) 2006 to incorporated documents.

General Comments: Saving: Despite the omission of the Schedule 3 by paragraph 24, the documents in that Schedule entitled “RAP National Schedule of Equipment” and “Rehabilitation Appliances Program (RAP) National Guidelines” in force on 1 September 2008 remain incorporated in the Principles until 1 November 2010.
