I, QUENTIN BRYCE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

1              Name of Regulations

                These Regulations are the Proceeds of Crime Amendment Regulations 2010 (No. 1).

2              Commencement

                These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.

3              Amendment of Proceeds of Crime Regulations 2002

                Schedule 1 amends the Proceeds of Crime Regulations 2002.


Schedule 1        Amendments

(regulation 3)

 

[1]           Subparagraph 9 (a) (ii)

substitute

                         (ii)    section 73.2 (aggravated offence of people smuggling (exploitation, or danger of death or serious harm etc));

[2]           After subparagraph 9 (a) (iii)

insert

                       (iiia)    section 73.3A (supporting the offence of people smuggling);
