I, STEPHEN MICHAEL CONROY, Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, make the following Specification under subsection 17(1A) of the Do Not Call Register Act 2006.

1.                  Name of Specification

 

This Specification is the Do Not Call Register (Duration of Registration) Specification (No. 1) 2010.

 

2.                  Commencement

 

This Specification commences at the same time as Schedule 1 to the Do Not Call Register Legislation Amendment Act 2010 commences.

 

3.                  Definitions

 

In this Specification:

 

Act means the Do Not Call Register Act 2006.

 

NOTE: Other words and phrases applicable to this Specification are defined in section 4 of the Act.

 

4.                  Specification

 

For the purposes of subparagraph 17(1)(b)(ii) of the Act, the period specified is 5 years.
