These Regulations amend the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Regulations 2001 to set the renewable power percentage (RPP) for 2010. The RPP set the rate of liability for liable entities to meet the renewable energy target.

I, QUENTIN BRYCE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000.

1              Name of Regulations

                These Regulations are the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Amendment Regulations 2010 (No. 2).

2              Commencement

                These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.

3              Amendment of Renewable Energy (Electricity) Regulations 2001

                Schedule 1 amends the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Regulations 2001.


Schedule 1        Amendment

[1]           Paragraph 23 (i)

substitute

                 (i)    for 2009 — 3.64%; and

                (j)    for 2010 — 5.98%.
