This Notice provides a mandatory safety standard requiring children's toys containing magnets that may be an ingestion hazard, carry a hazard warning label in accordance with the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS ISO 8124.1:2002.

This Notice was originally made under section 65E of the Trade Practices Act 1974 and is continued in force under section 104 of the Australian Consumer Law (as set out in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) (Act No. 51 of 1974) (see Schedule 7, item 4 of the Trade Practices Amendment (Australian Consumer Law) Act (No. 2) 2010 (Act No. 103 of 2010)).
