1          LEGISLATIVE PROVISIONS

 

1.1       NAME OF LEGISLATIVE INSTRUMENT

 

1.1.1        This instrument is the Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 83/00 – External Noise) 2005 Amendment 2.

1.1.2        This instrument may also be cited as ADR 83/00 Amendment 2.

 

1.2       COMMENCEMENT

 

1.2.1        This instrument commences the day after it is registered.

 

2          AMENDMENT OF VEHICLE STANDARD

 

2.1.1        The changes specified in Schedule 1 amend Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 83/00 – External Noise) 2005.

 

3          SCHEDULE 1

 

[1]               Remove existing clause 6.1 of ADR 83/00 and replace with:

“6.1      For M and N category vehicles, the technical requirements of United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Regulation No. 51 Uniform Provisions Concerning the Approval of Motor Vehicles Having at Least Four Wheels with Regard to Their Noise Emissions, incorporating the 02 series of Amendments from Supplement 3 onwards, are deemed to be equivalent to the technical requirements of this vehicle standard.”
