This instrument provides for Schedule 1 to the Social Security (International Agreements) Act 1999 Amendment Regulations 2009 (No. 1) to commence on 1 October 2009. This means that the amendments made to the International Agreement on Social Security between Australia and Chile will commence on this date.

Social Security (International Agreements) Act 1999 Amendment Regulations 2009 (No. 1)

I, JENNY MACKLIN, Minister for Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, acting under paragraph 2(1)(b) of the Social Security (International Agreements) Act 1999 Amendment Regulations 2009 (No. 1), fix 1 October 2009 as the day on which Schedule 1 to those Regulations commences.
