These Regulations amend the Health Insurance Regulations 1975 to include a new item that is being inserted into the General Medical Services Table that covers a service provided by a practice nurse or registered Aboriginal health worker, on behalf of a general practitioner, for an Indigenous person who has received a health assessment.

1              Name of Regulations

                These Regulations are the Health Insurance Amendment Regulations 2009 (No. 1).

2              Commencement

                These Regulations commence on 1 July 2009.

3              Amendment of Health Insurance Regulations 1975

                Schedule 1 amends the Health Insurance Regulations 1975.
