These Regulations amend the Foreign Acquisitions and Takeovers Regulations 1989 and the Foreign Acquisitions and Takeovers (Notices) Regulations 1975 to remove inconsistency with the Act as a consequence of recent legislative changes regarding same-sex relationships and to introduce new and revised prescribed forms to streamline the notification and administrative processes for certain acquisitions of real estate.
