Financial Management and Accountability Determination 2009/17 - Other Trust Moneys - Medicare Australia Special Account Variation and Abolition 2009

This Determination amends the Financial Management and Accountability Determination 2005/25 – Other Trust Moneys – Medicare Australia Special Account Establishment 2005 to vary the purposes and subsequently abolish the Other Trust Moneys – Medicare Australia Special Account.

General Comments: This Determination takes effect on the day immediately after the last day on which a House of Parliament could have passed a resolution disallowing it (see s 22(4) of the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997).

The Other Trust Moneys - Medicare Australia Special Account is abolished with effect from the time at which:
(a) Schedule 1 has taken effect; and
(b) the balance of the appropriation for the Other Trust Moneys – Medicare Australia Special Account reaches zero.
Exempt from sunsetting by the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 s 20(6), Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 s 20(7)
