AusLink (National Land Transport) Act National Land Transport Network Determination 2005 (No.1) Variation 3

 

 

I, ANTHONY NORMAN ALBANESE, Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, make this Variation under subsection 6(1), Part 2 of the AusLink (National Land Transport) Act 2005.

1                    Name of Variation

This Variation is the AusLink (National Land Transport) Act National Land Transport Network Determination (No.1) 2005 Variation 3.

2                    Commencement

 

            This Variation commences on the day after registration. 

3                    Variation

 

 (1)       The National Land Transport Network, as determined under the           AusLink (National Land Transport) Act National Land Transport       Network Determination 2005 (No.1) (the Determination), is varied in          accordance with the amendments to the Determination described in       subclauses (2) to (12).

 

(2)        In Schedule 1 to the Determination under the heading ‘A. URBAN’, sub-heading ‘Sydney’, the following item is added immediately after Item Number 4:

The Western Motorway (M4) from its intersection with Westlink (M7) at Eastern Creek to the intersection with Great Western Highway at North Strathfield.

 

(3)        In Schedule 1 to the Determination under the heading 'A. URBAN', sub-heading 'Perth', the following item is added immediately after Item Number 6:

Great Eastern Highway, from its intersection with Kooyong Road to its intersection with the Great Eastern Highway Bypass, thence Great Eastern Highway Bypass to its intersection with the Roe Highway.

 

(4)        In Schedule 1 to the Determination under the heading ‘A. URBAN', sub-heading 'Adelaide', Item Number 3 is replaced with the following item:

South Road, from the Grand Junction Road intersection to the intersection with the Southern Expressway.  Sir Donald Bradman Drive from its intersection with South Road to the Adelaide Airport entrance.

 

(5)        In Schedule 1 to the Determination under the heading 'B. NON-URBAN', replace the sub-heading ‘Melbourne-Geelong’ with ‘Melbourne-Colac’ and under the sub-heading ‘Melbourne-Geelong’, Item Number 1 is replaced with the following item:

The Princes Freeway and Princes Highway, from the junction of the West Gate Freeway and Western Ring Road to Waurn Ponds via the proposed Geelong Ring Road and the continuation of the proposed Geelong Ring Road from the southern end of the road to Draytons Road on the existing Princes Highway West, west of Waurn Ponds.  Then continuing along the Princes Highway and terminating at the intersection of Princes Highway and Corangamite Street, Colac.

 

(6)        In schedule 1 to the Determination under the heading ‘B. NON-URBAN’ sub-heading ‘Brisbane-Cairns’, the following item is added immediately after Item Number 1:

The proposed Townsville Ring Road from its intersection with the Bruce Highway at Annandale to its intersection with the Bruce Highway at Burdell.

 

(7)        Schedule 1 to the Determination under the heading 'B. NON-URBAN', sub-heading 'Perth-Darwin', the following item is added immediately after Item Number 1:

The Karratha Dampier Road from its intersection with the Burrup Road to its intersection with the North West Coastal Highway, thence the North West Coastal Highway to its intersection with the Great Northern Highway.

 

 

(8)        Schedule 1 to the Determination under the heading 'B. NON-URBAN', sub-heading 'Perth-Bunbury', the following item is added immediately after Item Number 2:

The Bunbury Port Access Road from Estuary Drive to its intersection with the Bunbury Outer Ring Road (Stage 1).  The Bunbury Outer Ring Road (Stage 1) from its intersection with the Boyanup Picton Road to the intersection with the South Western Highway (south).

 

(9)        In Schedule 1 to the Determination under the heading 'B. NON-URBAN', sub-heading ‘Hobart-Burnie', Item Number 1 is          replaced with the following item:

The Tasman Highway from its intersection with Holyman Avenue at Cambridge to its junction with Brooker Avenue in Hobart, Brooker Avenue and the Brooker Highway to its junction with the Midland Highway at Granton, Liverpool Street Hobart between the Tasman Highway and Brooker Avenue, the Midland Highway from Granton to its junction with the Bass Highway at Launceston including the connection to the proposed Brighton Transport Hub intermodal facility and the Bass Highway to its intersection with West Park Grove in Burnie.

 

(10)      In Schedule 2 to the Determination under the heading 'A. URBAN', sub-heading 'Sydney', Item Number 3 is replaced with the following item:

Standard gauge mainline railway from Strathfield junction to and within Port Botany via Cooks River.

 

(11)      In Schedule 2 to the Determination under the heading 'A. URBAN', sub-heading 'Perth', delete Item Number 4.

 

(12)      In Schedule 2 to the Determination under the heading 'B. NON-URBAN', sub-heading 'Hobart-Burnie', Item Number 2 is replaced with the following item:

Narrow gauge railway from Launceston to and within the Port of Launceston at Bell Bay (Tasmania).
