The Lakes Ordinance 1976 is now the Lakes Act 1976 (ACT) (see ACT legislation register).
The Lakes Ordinance 1976 in its application to the Commonwealth only exists as an applied provision of the National Land Ordinance 1989 (F2009B00017) and is incorporated by reference in that instrument. These applied provisions should only be amended by an amendment to the National Land Ordinance 1989. Consequentially, the Lakes (Amendment) Ordinance 1992 should have been cited as the National Land (Amendment) Ordinance 1992. Not withstanding that, the Ordinance was made and is in effect. The amendments are incorporated in the compilation of applied provisions of the National Land Ordinance 1989.
