Commencement (Agreement between Australia and Japan on Social Security) Instrument 2008

This instrument provides for Schedule 1 to the Social Security (International Agreements) Act 1999 Amendment Regulations 2008 (No. 1) to commence on 1 January 2009. In this case the International Agreement on Social Security between Australia and Japan will commence on this date.

Social Security (International Agreements) Act 1999 Amendment Regulations 2008 (No. 1)

I, JENNY MACKLIN, Minister for Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, acting under paragraph 2(1)(b) of the Social Security (International Agreements) Act 1999 Amendment Regulations 2008 (No. 1), fix 1 January 2009 as the day on which Schedule 1 to those Regulations commences.
