These Regulations amend the Parliamentary Entitlements Regulations 1997 to remove the distinction between which currently operates to exclude Parliamentary Secretaries from the entitlement to be accompanied by their spouse on official overseas travel.

1              Name of Regulations

                These Regulations are the Parliamentary Entitlements Amendment Regulations 2008 (No. 2).

2              Commencement

                These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.

3              Amendment of Parliamentary Entitlements Regulations 1997

                Schedule 1 amends the Parliamentary Entitlements Regulations 1997.
