Seafarers Rehabilitation and Compensation (Specified Rate per Kilometre) Notice 2008 (1)
I, JULIA GILLARD, Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, make this Notice under subsections 28(6A), 49(6B), 50(2B), 66(4B) and 83A(5) of the Seafarers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1992.

1. Name of Notice
This Notice is the Seafarers Rehabilitation and Compensation (Specified Rate per Kilometre) Notice 2008 (1).
2. Commencement
This Notice commences on the later of:
(a) 1 July 2008; or
(b) the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.
3. Declaration
For subsections 28(6A), 49(6B), 50(2B), 66(4B) and 83A(5) of the Seafarers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1992, I specify that the rate per kilometre to apply for the purposes of paragraphs 28(6A)(b), 49(6B)(b), 50(2B)(b) and sub-sections 66(4B) and 83A(5) are those rates specified in column 1 of the Schedule appearing opposite the dates in column 2.
4. Revocation
I revoke the Seafarers Rehabilitation and Compensation (Specified Rate per Kilometre) Notice 2005 (1).
