This instrument amends the National Capital Plan (December 1990) to include provisions to clarify that the National Capital Plan allows for the temporary and short term enclosure of limited areas within parklands around the shores of Lake Burley Griffin for the purpose of conducting time limited events, and enables the charging of entry fees to these enclosed areas for the duration of these events.

NOTICE OF APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT

AMENDMENT 27 (OPEN SPACE [PARK] - PUBLIC ACCESSIBILITY)

I, Ian Douglas Macdonald, Minister for Regional Services, Territories and Local Government, pursuant to Section 21 of the Australian Capital Territory (Planning and Land Management) Act 1988, give notice that on this day I approve Amendment 27 of the National Capital Plan submitted to me by the National Capital Authority. The Amendment takes effect on the date of publication of this notice in the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette.
