These Rules amend the Family Law Rules 2004 to clarify that there is no requirement to file a certificate from a family dispute resolution practitioner in certain circumstances, increase the interest rate in Rule 17.03 from 10.75% to 11.75%, delegate to SES Band 2 Registrars the powers to issue a recovery order and to order security for costs and to add a reference to a section of the Evidence Act 1995 to an existing note.

1              Name of Rules

                These Rules are the Family Law Amendment Rules 2007 (No. 3).

2              Commencement

                These Rules commence on the day after they are registered.

3              Amendment of Family Law Rules 2004

                Schedule 1 amends the Family Law Rules 2004.
