Declarations/Superannuation as made
This Declaration amends the Superannuation (PSSAP) Membership Eligibility (Exclusion) Declaration 2005 to include a person who is a Mersey Hospital APS Employee, as a person ineligible to become a PSSAP member, unless before becoming such an employee, the person was an ordinary employer-sponsored member of PSSAP.

I, NICK MINCHIN, Minister for Finance and Administration, make the following Declaration under paragraph 13 (2) (h) of the Superannuation Act 2005.

1              Name of Declaration

                This Declaration is the Superannuation (PSSAP) Membership Eligibility (Exclusion) Amendment Declaration 2007.

2              Commencement

This Declaration commences on the day after it is registered.

3              Amendments to the Superannuation (PSSAP) Membership Eligibility (Exclusion) Declaration 2005

After item [11] of Schedule 1 of the Superannuation (PSSAP) Membership Eligibility (Exclusion) Declaration 2005, insert:

 

[12]                  A person who:

 

(a)    is a Mersey Hospital APS Employee as defined in the Determination made under subsection 24(3) of the Public Service Act 1999 on 30 October 2007 as amended from time to time; and

 

(b)   immediately before becoming such an employee was not an ordinary employer-sponsored member.
