This Declaration amends the Superannuation (CSS) (Eligible Employees – Exclusion) Declaration 2003 (the Principal Declaration) in order to exclude certain Mersey Hospital APS Employees, from membership of the CSS.

I, NICK MINCHIN, Minister for Finance and Administration, make this Declaration under paragraph (j) of the definition of eligible employee in subsection 3(1) of the Superannuation Act 1976.

1              Name of Declaration

                This Declaration is the Superannuation (CSS) (Eligible Employees – Exclusion) Amendment Declaration 2007 (No. 1).

2              Commencement

                This Declaration commences on the day after it is registered.

3              Amendments to the Superannuation (CSS) (Eligible Employees — Exclusion) Declaration 2003

 

(A)           subparagraph 7(1)(n)(v)

                        omit

                        rights.

                        insert

                        rights;

 

(B)           After Part 3, paragraph 7(1)(n) of the Superannuation (CSS) (Eligible Employees — Exclusion) Declaration 2003, insert:

(o)               persons who:

(i)      are Mersey Hospital APS Employees as defined in the Determination made under subsection 24(3) of the Public Service Act 1999 on 30 October 2007 as amended from time to time; and

(ii)     immediately before becoming such employees were not eligible employees.
