I, PHILIP MICHAEL JEFFERY, Governor‑General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903.

1              Name of Regulations

                These Regulations are the Australian Military Amendment Regulations 2007 (No. 1).

2              Commencement

                These Regulations commence on the commencement of Schedule 1 to the Defence Legislation Amendment Act 2006.

3              Amendment of Australian Military Regulations 1927

                Schedule 1 amends the Australian Military Regulations 1927.

         (5)   Subregulation (3) does not apply to the command of a legal officer while the officer is performing duties under subsection 154 (1) of the Defence Force Discipline Act 1982.

substitute

         (2)   Subregulation (1) does not apply to the performance of duties by a legal officer under subsection 154 (1) of the Defence Force Discipline Act 1982.
