DIRECTION UNDER SECTION 32, FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND ACCOUNTABILITY ACT 1997

Context:

On 27 March 2006, the Office of Workplace Services (OWS) was established as a prescribed agency for the purposes of the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 (‘the FMA Act’) and the workplace services functions, which were previously functions of the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, became functions of OWS.

This direction reverses Legislative Instrument F2006L03176 entitled ‘Direction under Section 32, Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 – Adjustments of Appropriations on Change of Agency Functions (No. 7 of 2006-2007)’ dated 20 September 2006, which incorrectly referenced Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2005-2006, and replaces it with Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2006-2007.

I, Brett Kaufmann, Acting Division Manager, Financial Reporting and Cash Management Division, Department of Finance and Administration, sub-delegate of the Minister for Finance and Administration under the FMA Act, issue the following direction under section 32 of the FMA Act:

That the appropriation items listed in column 1 of the following table in the amounts listed in column 4 be transferred from the 'old agency' listed in column 2 to the 'new agency' listed in column 3.
