This Proclamation extends the outer limit of the territorial sea in the southern area of the Gulf of Carpentaria to include the part of the roadstead near the port of Karumba, in Queensland, that extends beyond the outer limits of the territorial sea as declared by the proclamation made on 9 November 1990.
