This Class Order disapplies the confirmation requirements in section 1017F of the Corporations Act 2001 in relation to transactions involving travellers' cheques. This relief is provided on the basis that as a matter of standard practice receipts are provided to customers when they purchase or dispose of travellers' cheques.

Corporations Act 2001 – Subsection 1020F(1) – Exemption

 

Under subsection 1020F(1) of the Corporations Act 2001 (“the Act”), the Australian Securities and Investments Commission hereby exempts travellers’ cheques from section 1017F of the Act.
