DETERMINATION 2000/12

 

Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 – section 20

 

Determination Establishing a Special Account

 

I, John Fahey, Minister for Finance and Administration, make this determination under section 20 of the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997.

 

I now:

 

(a)    establish the Australians at War Account (the Account) as a Special Account;

(b)   allow the following amounts to be credited to the Account:

(i)              amounts appropriated by law to the Account;

(ii)            amounts received in consideration for any service, benefit, activity, transaction or other matter provided by the Commonwealth in accordance with the purposes of the Account; and

(iii)           amounts paid to the Commonwealth by any person for the purposes of the Account; and

(c)    specify that the purposes of the Account are for the production and promotion of the ‘Australians at War’ documentary and to assist with the costs of manufacture and distribution of educational materials for Australian schools in support of the documentary series, to be administered by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
