REPATRIATION MEDICAL AUTHORITY

 

INSTRUMENT NO. 63 OF 2006

 

VETERANS’ ENTITLEMENTS ACT 1986

MILITARY REHABILITATION AND COMPENSATION ACT 2004

 

EXPLANATORY NOTES FOR TABLING

 

 

1.             The Repatriation Medical Authority (‘the Authority’) has determined, under subsection 196B(2) of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986 (‘the VEA’) the attached Instrument No. 63 of 2006.

 

2.             This instrument amends Instrument No. 21 of 2006 Statement of Principles concerning vascular dementia (‘the Instrument’).

 

3.             The amendment is to clarify the definition of 'cerebrovascular disease' in clause 9 of Instrument No. 21 of 2006.

 

4.             The Instrument specifies a date of effect for the Instrument in accordance with sub-section 12(1)(a) of the Legislative Instruments Act 2003.
