ACADEMIC AND CEREMONIAL DRESS ORDER 2006

 

 

EXPLANATORY STATEMENT

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Authority for making the instrument.  Academic and Ceremonial Dress Statute 2005, section 2.

 

2. Purpose and operation of the instrument.  The Order provides for and describes the academic and ceremonial dress of the University. 

 

3. Documents incorporated in the instrument by reference.  None.

 

4. Consultation process.  The decision to make the 2006 Order was made by the University senior executive group so as to allow revised and new categories of ceremonial dress to be incorporated into the Order.  The Order was considered and approved by the Council of the University.
