This Statute provides for the making of Rules with respect to the payment to the University of fees including student contribution amounts and tuition fees, referred to in section 19-85 of the Higher Education Support Act 2003, and the making of Orders determining the amounts of fees payable under the Rules.

FEES STATUTE 2006

The Council of the Australian National University makes the following Statute under section 50 of the Australian National University Act 1991.

1       Name of Statute

               This Statute is the Fees Statute 2006.

2       Commencement

              This Statute commences on the day after it is registered.

3       Rules

              The Council may make Rules with respect to the payment to the University of fees including student contribution amounts and tuition fees referred to in section 19-85 of the Higher Education Support Act 2003.

4       Orders

              The Vice-Chancellor or the Deputy Vice-Chancellor may make Orders, not inconsistent with this Statute or any Rules under this Statute, determining the amounts of fees payable under Rules made under section 3.

5       Repeal

              The Fees Statute 1999, as amended and in force immediately before the commencement of this Statute, is repealed.
