Enabling Legislation

1.         The Australian Securities and Investments Commission makes this instrument under paragraphs 601QA(1)(a), 741(1)(a) and 1020F(1)(a) of the Corporations Act 2001.


2.         This instrument is ASIC Class Order [CO 06/226].


3.         This instrument commences on the date it is registered under the Legislative Instruments Act 2003.

4.                  ASIC Class Order [CO 98/51] is varied by:


(a)        in paragraph (e) of the Schedule, omitting “until 31 March 2006,”; and

(b)        under the heading “Interpretation”:

(i)         at the end of subparagraph (1)(b), adding "and"; and

(ii)        omitting paragraph (2); and

(iii)       at the end of paragraph (3) omitting "; and" and substituting a full stop; and

(iv)       omitting paragraphs (4) to (6).


5.         ASIC Class Order [CO 04/194] is varied by in subparagraph 1.23(b)(v) and paragraph 2.10(e), omitting “until 31 March 2006,”.
