Higher Education Funding Act 1988 - Declaration under subsection 4(2) (13/01/2006)

The purpose of this declaration is to add Carnegie Mellon University to Table B in subsection 4(1) of the Act, which means that it is a ‘higher education institution’ under the Act, thus meeting the requirements of the ITAA.

Higher Education Funding Act 1988 (the “Act”)

 

Declaration under subsection 4(2) of the Act

 

I, Joe Hockey, the Minister for Human Services, on behalf of the Minister for Education, Science and Training, under subsection 4(2) of the Act, declare that Table B in subsection 4(1) of the Act is amended by adding the following name of an institution of higher education:

Carnegie Mellon University, a non-profit organisation established under Pennsylvania law.

 

This declaration takes effect on the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.
