This declaration will make the ARTC Services Company Pty Ltd (ARTC Services) a Commonwealth authority for the purposes of the Act.

General Comments: This instrument is also taken to be made under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence-related Claims) Act 1988 (the DRCA), by virtue of transitional provisions in the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Legislation Amendment (Defence Force) Act 2017. The Minster for Veterans’ Affairs is responsible for administering the DRCA.

I, KEVIN JAMES ANDREWS, Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, make this Notice under subsection 4(1) of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.

1              Name of Notice

                This Notice is the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Definition of Commonwealth authority) Notice 2004.

2              Commencement

                This Notice commences on Gazettal.

3              Declaration

                For subparagraph 4(1) of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (the Act), I declare that ARTC Services Company Pty Ltd (ACN 105 451 483) is a body corporate to which the Act applies under the definition of Commonwealth authority in Part I of the Act.

 

Note       The body corporate is a body corporate in which a body corporate declared under paragraph (c) has a controlling interest.
