Notice No. 1 of 2005.

I, KEVIN JAMES ANDREWS, Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, make this Notice under subsection 5(15) of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.

1              Name of Notice

                This Notice is the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Definition of ACT Employee) Notice 2005 (1).

2              Commencement

                This Notice commences on registration on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments (FRLI).

3              Declaration

                For subsection 5(15) of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (the Act), I declare that the class of persons mentioned in Column 2 of the Schedule are employees of the Australian Capital Territory, for the purposes of the acts mentioned in Column 3 of the Schedule.

Note     The person is engaged in activities at the request or direction, or for the benefit, of an authority or body established by an ACT enactment.
