These Regulations amend the Medical Indemnity (UMP Support Payment) Regulations 2004 to give effect to the competitive advantage payments measures by prescribing the applicable percentage for the amount of the competitive advantage as 4.55% for the contribution starting 1 July 2005.

1              Name of Regulations

                These Regulations are the Medical Indemnity (UMP Support Payment) Amendment Regulations 2005 (No. 1).

2              Commencement

                These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.

3              Amendment of Medical Indemnity (UMP Support Payment) Regulations 2004

                Schedule 1 amends the Medical Indemnity (UMP Support Payment) Regulations 2004.
