Consumer Protection Notice No 1 of 2005

 

AMENDMENT TO THE CONSUMER PRODUCT SAFETY STANDARD:  TOYS FOR CHILDREN UP TO AND INCLUDING 36 MONTHS OF AGE

 

I, Chris Pearce, Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer, pursuant to section 65E of the Trade Practices Act 1974, hereby amend the consumer product safety standard in respect of toys for children up to and including 36 months of age declared by notice dated 1 December 2003 and published in the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette No GN 49 of 10 December 2003 as follows:

 

In the declared goods of that notice where Australian New Zealand Standard AS/NZS ISO 8124-1:2002, Safety of Toys, Part 1: Safety aspects related to mechanical and physical properties (ISO 8124-1:2000, MOD) is referenced, in point iv place a semicolon after the word “sentence” and delete all the remaining words and punctuation marks in point iv.
