1              Name of Regulations

                These Regulations are the Crimes Amendment Regulations 2004 (No. 1).

2              Commencement

                These Regulations commence, or are taken to have commenced, as follows:

                 (a)     on 1 September 1995 — regulations 1 to 3 and Schedule 1;

                (b)     on 3 April 2000 — regulation 4 and Schedule 2;

                 (c)     on the date of their notification in the Gazette — Schedule 3.

3              Amendment of Crimes Regulations

                Schedule 1 amends the Crimes Regulations.

4              Amendment of Crimes Regulations 1990

                Schedules 2 and 3 amend the Crimes Regulations 1990.



 

Schedule 1        Amendment taken to have commenced on 1 September 1995

insert

              (aa)    an order for periodic detention made under Part 2 of the Periodic Detention Act 1995 of the Australian Capital Territory;

Schedule 2        Amendment taken to have commenced on 3 April 2000

              (ab)    a periodic detention order made under Part 2 of the Crimes (Sentencing Procedure) Act 1999 of New South Wales;
