This Proclamation amends the Quarantine Proclamation 1998 to require that the Director of Quarantine must take into account any risk assessment conducted by the OGTR and any decision made by OGTR in relation to the grant of a licence for that particular seed under the Gene Technology Act 2000. It updates the list of permitted seeds (Sch 5) an importer may import without a permit.
