
Commonwealth Places (Application of Laws) Amendment Regulations 2002 (No. 1)1
I, PETER JOHN HOLLINGWORTH, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Commonwealth Places (Application of Laws) Act 1970.

1 Name of Regulations
These Regulations are the Commonwealth Places (Application of Laws) Amendment Regulations 2002 (No. 1).
2 Commencement
These Regulations commence on 1 August 2002.
3 Amendment of Commonwealth Places (Application of Laws) Regulations 1998
Schedule 1 amends the Commonwealth Places (Application of Laws) Regulations 1998.

substitute
3 Liquor Act 1982 (NSW) not to apply to certain Commonwealth places
The Liquor Act 1982 of New South Wales:
(a) is taken not to have applied in the period from 31 March 2002 to 31 July 2002 (inclusive); and
(b) does not apply in the period from 1 August 2002 to 30 June 2003 (inclusive);
to a place that:
(c) is subject to a lease that authorises the sale of liquor; and
(d) is acquired by the Commonwealth for the construction of a civil airport; and
(e) is not subject to an airport lease under the Airports Act 1996 or the Airports (Transitional) Act 1996.
