REGULATIONS UNDER THE PAPUA NEW GUINEA (STAFFING ASSISTANCE) ACT 1973.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Papua New Guinea (Staffing Assistance) Act 1973.

Amendment of the Papua New Guinea (Staffing Assistance) (Superannuation) Regulations†

Scale of units of pension.

1. Regulation 10 of the Papua New Guinea (Staffing Assistance) (Superannuation) Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulation (4) and substituting the following sub-regulation:—

“ (4) For the purposes of sub-regulations (2) and (3), the prescribed amount is—

(a) in relation to any time during the period from and including 24 March 1976 to and including 27 June 1976—$14,950; and

(b) in relation to any time on or after 28 June 1976—$15,080.”.

Commencement.

2. The amendment effected by regulation 1 shall be deemed to have taken effect on and from 24 March 1976.
