Superannuation (Continuing Contributions for Benefits) Regulations2 (Amendment)
I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Superannuation Act 1976.

1. Commencement
1.1 Subregulations 3.2, 3.3 and 4.1 are taken to have commenced on 2 January 1991.
[NOTE: The remainder of these Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s.48.]
2. Amendment
2.1 The Superannuation (Continuing Contributions for Benefits) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.
3. Regulation 3A (Persons to whom section 14A of the Act applies)
3.1 Paragraph 3A (f):
Omit “a person who:”, substitute “a class of persons each of whom:”.
3.2 Subparagraph 3A (f) (v):
Omit “Management.”, substitute “Management;”.
3.3 Add at the end:
“(g) a class of persons each of whom:
(i) became a temporary full-time employee of the Dairy Research and Development Corporation (‘the Corporation’) on 2 January 1991; and
(ii) was a person to whom deferred benefits applied under the Act on 2 January 1991; and
(iii) continues to be a permanent employee or a temporary full-time employee of the Corporation.”.
4. Regulation 4 (When section 14A of the Act no longer applies)
4.1 Add at the end:
“(6) Section 14A of the Act ceases to apply to a person in the class of persons referred to in paragraph 3A (g):
(a) at the end of the day on which the person ceases to be a person referred to in subparagraph 3A (g) (iii); or
(b) at the end of the day that immediately precedes the day on which the person becomes a member of a superannuation scheme, other than the scheme provided for under the Act, applying to the person’s employment by the Dairy Research and Development Corporation;
whichever occurs first.”.
