Judicial and Statutory Officers
(Remuneration and Allowances) Regulations
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Judicial and Statutory Officers (Remuneration and Allowances) Act 1984.

Citation
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Judicial and Statutory Officers (Remuneration and Allowances) Regulations.
Remuneration of officer appointed Australian Statistician
2. (1) Where a person appointed to hold the office of Australian Statistician was, immediately before the appointment, an officer of the Australian Public Service occupying the office of Secretary to the Department of Finance, the person shall be paid, during the period of the appointment (including any period of re-appointment) to the office of Australian Statistician, in lieu of the remuneration and expenses of office allowance payable in respect of that office, remuneration and expenses of office allowance at such respective rates as are applicable to the office of Secretary to the Department of Finance.
(2) Sub-regulation (1) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 10 April 1986.
