Acts of Parliament assented to – Act No. 62 to 69 of 2023

It is hereby notified, for general information, that His Excellency the Governor-General, in the name of His Majesty, assented to the undermentioned Acts passed by the Senate and the House of Representatives in the Parliament assembled, viz.:

Assented to on 13 September 2023:

     No. 62 of 2023—An Act to amend the Biosecurity Act 2015, and for related purposes. (Biosecurity Amendment (Advanced Compliance Measures) Act 2023).

     No. 63 of 2023—An Act to amend legislation relating to the criminal law and law enforcement, and for related purposes. (Crimes and Other Legislation Amendment (Omnibus) Act 2023).

     No. 64 of 2023—An Act to amend the Export Control Act 2020, and for related purposes. (Export Control Amendment (Streamlining Administrative Processes) Act 2023).

Assented to on 14 September 2023:

     No. 65 of 2023—An Act to amend the law relating to the classification of publications, films and computer games, and for related purposes. (Classification (Publications, Films and Computer Games) Amendment (Industry Self-Classification and Other Measures) Act 2023).

     No. 66 of 2023—An Act to amend the law relating to customs, and for related purposes. (Customs Legislation Amendment (Controlled Trials and Other Measures) Act 2023).

     No. 67 of 2023—An Act to provide for a strengthened accountability framework for financial entities in the banking, insurance and superannuation industries, and for related purposes. (Financial Accountability Regime Act 2023).

     No. 68 of 2023—An Act to deal with consequential amendments and transitional matters arising from the enactment of the Financial Accountability Regime Act 2023, and for related purposes. (Financial Accountability Regime (Consequential Amendments) Act 2023).

     No. 69 of 2023—An Act to amend the law relating to corporations, consumer credit and other matters in the Treasury portfolio, to make miscellaneous and technical amendments of the law of the Commonwealth, and for related purposes. (Treasury Laws Amendment (Modernising Business Communications and Other Measures) Act 2023).
