Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005

 

EXEMPTION FROM DISPLAYING AN AVIATION SECURITY IDENTIFICATION CARD IN AN AIRSIDE AREA

 

 

I, MICHAEL GRAY, Acting Director, Transport Security Operations, Aviation and Maritime Security Division, an authorised Delegate of the Secretary of the Department of Home Affairs, under section 127 of the Aviation and Transport Security Act 2004, make this notice under the Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005 (the Regulations).

This notice is made under subregulation 3.08(3) or the Regulations.

I, GIVE, an exemption from displaying an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) through “Gate 1 and 2” at Brisbane Airport to the following persons undertaking work for the final stage of the new parallel runway development:

·         authorised employees and contractors of CPB Contractors Pty Limited (ACN 000 893 667);

·         authorised employees and contractors of B.M.D Constructions Pty Limited (ACN 189 560 100); and

·         authorised drivers of Heavy Vehicles (HV) and Light Vehicles (LV) delivering goods and materials.

This exemption operates from 6am, 24 June 2019 until 5pm, 30 November 2019 subject to the conditions below:

1. employees and contractors of CPB Contractors Pty Limited and B.M.D Constructions Pty Limited:

·         are authorised by the Special Event Zone Manager to access the Zone established in Notices NTC-16244 and NTC-16245; and 

·         are under the supervision on an ASIC holder when moving through the airside area between the gate and the special event zone (SEZ) established in Notices NTC-16244 and NTC-16245; and

·         have completed the Skyway Induction; and

·         present their ‘Skyway Induction Card’ prior to entry.

2. drivers of Heavy Vehicles (HV) and Light Vehicles (LV) delivering goods and materials:

·         are authorised by the Special Event Zone Manager to access the Zone established in Notices NTC-16244 and NTC-16245; and 

·         are under the supervision on an ASIC holder when moving through the airside area between the gate and the special event zone (SEZ) established in Notices NTC-16244 and NTC-16245; and.

·         have completed the Delivery Driver Induction; and

·         present their ‘Delivery Induction Slip’ prior to entry.

This Notice commences upon publication in the gazette.
