Add the following road restriction to:

Geelong-Ballan Road (from Staughton Vale Road to Slate Quarry Road):

“Conditionally approved – access only for vehicles up to 3.5m wide. Combinations between 3.51 and 5.0m wide must use an alternate route. NHVR Permit application with traffic management plan will be considered on case-by-case base if no alternate route.”

This section of road is too narrow for passing when loads wider than 3.5m are travelling. There is no parking on the side of the road to allow a load to proceed. There are trees, guard rails and wire rope barriers along the fog line for the duration of this stretch of road. Any load that protrudes into the oncoming lane causes safety issues.
