A Bill for an Act to amend the Governor‑General Act 1974, and for related purposes
The Parliament of Australia enacts:
1 Short title
This Act is the Governor‑General Amendment (Salary) Act 2019.
2 Commencement
(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

Governor‑General Act 1974
1 Section 3
Omit “$425,000”, substitute “$495,000”.
2 Application
The amendment made by this Schedule does not have effect during the continuance in office of the person holding office as Governor‑General immediately before the commencement of this Schedule.
