Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005

 

EXEMPTION FROM DISPLAYING AN AVIATION SECURITY IDENTIFICATION CARD IN A SECURE AREA

 

 

I, MICHELLE COZADINOS, Director, Transport Security Operations, Aviation and Maritime Security Division, an authorised Delegate of the Secretary of the Department of Home Affairs, under section 127 of the Aviation Transport Security Act 2004, make this notice under the Aviation Transport Security Regulations (The Regulation).

 

This notice is made under subregulation 3.08(3) of the Regulations.

 

I, hereby GIVE employees and contractors of Maranoa Regional Council, Fulton Hogan Industries Pty Ltd, and GHD Pty Ltd that are undertaking works as part of the airport Overlay Project, and exemption form displaying an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) when in the secure area of Roma Airport.

 

This Notice is issued on condition that:

 

1.            Employees and contractors of Maranoa Regional Council, Fulton Hogan Industries Pty Ltd, and GHD     Pty Ltd are to be under supervision of a red ASIC cardholder when in the airside area.

2.            Employees and contractors of Maranoa Regional Council, Fulton Hogan Industries Pty Ltd, and GHD     Pty Ltd must present photo identification upon entry to the airside area.

3.            Entry may only be granted to the airside area through designated entry points.

4.            Employees of Maranoa Regional Council who have red ASICs must display them at all times as per the requirements of the Regulations.

5.            During the operational period of screened air services, there will be no non-ASIC holding persons accessing the sterile or security restricted area.

6.            If an RPT aircraft is required to overnight there will be no access to the aircraft.

7.            All heavy equipment and tools of trade used for the works, and in the airside area, are secured when not in use.

 

Definitions

 

Operational period has the same meaning as prescribed by regulation 4.01 of the Regulations.

 

This exemption operates from 12:01 am 16 October 2018 to 11:59 pm 21 December 2018.
