A Bill for an Act to amend the Qantas Sale Act 1992, and for other purposes
The Parliament of Australia enacts:
1 Short title
This Act may be cited as the Qantas Sale Amendment Act 2014.
2 Commencement
(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Main amendments
Qantas Sale Act 1992
1 Part 3
Repeal the Part.
Schedule 2—Other amendments
Air Navigation Act 1920
1 Subsection 11A(4) (definition of Australian international airline)
Omit “(other than Qantas)”.
2 Subsection 11A(4) (paragraph (b) of the definition of foreign airline)
Repeal the paragraph.
3 Subsection 11A(4) (definition of Qantas)
Repeal the definition.
Qantas Sale Act 1992
4 Subsection 2(1)
Omit “Parts 2, 3 and 4”, substitute “Parts 2 and 4”.
5 Subsection 3(1) (definition of mandatory article)
Repeal the definition.
