A Bill for an Act to amend the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, and for related purposes
The Parliament of Australia enacts:
1 Short title
This Act may be cited as the Interactive Gambling Amendment (Virtual Credits) Act 2013.
2 Commencement
This Act commences 28 days after the day it receives the Royal Assent.
3 Schedule(s)
Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendment relating to virtual credits
Interactive Gambling Act 2001
1 Section 4 (subparagraph (e)(i) of the definition of gambling service)
Omit “anything else of value”, substitute “anything else of value (including virtual credits, virtual coins, virtual tokens, virtual objects or any similar thing that is purchased within, or as part of, or in relation to, the game)”.
