A Bill for an Act to amend the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Regulations 2001 to set renewable power percentages for the period commencing 1 January 2008 and ending 31 December 2020
The Parliament of Australia enacts:
1 Short title
This Act may be cited as the Renewable Energy Legislation Amendment (Renewable Power Percentage) Act 2008.
2 Commencement
This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
3 Schedule(s)
(1) Each Act, and each set of regulations, that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.
(2) The amendment of any regulation under subsection (1) does not prevent the regulation, as so amended, from being amended or repealed by the Governor‑General.
Schedule 1—Amendment of the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Regulations 2001
1 Paragraph 23(h)
Repeal the paragraph, substitute:
(h) for 2008—3.22%; and
(i) for 2009—3.98%; and
(j) for 2010—4.60%; and
(k) for 2011—5.30%; and
(l) for 2012—6.56%; and
(m) for 2013—7.71%; and
(n) for 2014—8.80%; and
(o) for 2015—9.86%; and
(p) for 2016—10.85%; and
(q) for 2017—11.79%; and
(r) for 2018—12.83%; and
(s) for 2019—13.83%; and
(t) for 2020—15.00%.
