Grain Legumes Research Levy Regulations

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and after taking into consideration the recommendations made to the Minister of State for Primary Industries and Energy by the Grains Council of Australia under subsection 10 (2) of the Grain Legumes Levy Act 1985 with respect to regulations to be made for the purposes of section 7 of that Act, hereby make the following Regulations under that Act.

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Grain Legumes Research Levy Regulations.

Commencement

2. These Regulations commence on 1 October 1988.

Interpretation

3. In these Regulations “the Act” means the Grain Legumes Levy Act 1985.

Rate of Levy

4. For the purposes of section 7 of the Act, the rate of levy in respect of leviable grain legumes is $1.00 per tonne.
